Missions

Calvary Baptist Church is pleased to partner with 92 missionaries in: United States, Canada, Latin America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.

CBC is also proud to serve as the home of Medical Missions Outreach.

Matthew 28:18-20 says: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Missions is the heart of Calvary Baptist Church. While CBC can actively seek to fulfill the Great Commission here in Ashland County and the surrounding area, we have partnered with many great families that  God has placed across the globe to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to plant churches where there were no churches before.

We believe that our congregation’s commitment to home and worldwide missions has been the primary driver of our growth at Calvary Baptist Church.

Pastor Strachan introduced the concept of Faith Promise Missions to our congregation in the fall of 1998. We were giving about $22,000 a year at the time out of our annual budget. Our members immediately grasped the powerful concept of Faith Promise Missions giving over $42,000 in our first year 1999. As of early 2012, CBC will have given over $2 million to missions.
